Central Division police are currently searching for the man who attacked and beat former UNC MP, Manohar Ramsaran on Tuesday morning.
Ramsaran, according to his wife Amina, went to check on the Monroe Road Cricket Club, of which he is the president, when he was attacked by a ‘vagrant.’
The man beat the 73-year-old Ramsaran with a length of lumber before fleeing the scene.
Ramsaran sustained injuries to his head, hands, and back, and was taken by ambulance to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
