Former Health Minister Dr Fuad Khan is calling for a change to the law surrounding the Pharmacy Board.
He said the system, in its current form, allows some stakeholders to hold others to ransom.
Dr Khan told News Power Now that this has now become an annual problem.
He suggested that removing the need for the pharmacy board and putting transparent systems in place will also reduce the ability for pharmacies and pharmacists to be held at ransom.
