Five Killed In Kentucky Bank Shooting

Preliminary media reports say five persons have died including a police officer after a gunman opened fire at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky, today.

An additional eight people have been taken to local hospitals.

The suspect died after an exchange of gunfire with police officers at Old National Bank.

According to Louisville Police, officers were first alerted to an active shooter situation and arrived within three minutes.

At the scene, they encountered the suspect and were involved in an exchange of gunfire.

According to Deputy Police Chief Paul Humphrey it remains unclear whether the suspect was shot and killed by the officers or died at his own hand.
