Fifth man charged in robbery incident in Couva

An Enterprise man is expected to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate today charged with possession of a gun, ammunition and receiving stolen property.
CHRIS SHADE, 27, of School lane, Enterprise, Chaguanas, is the fifth man to be charged in connection with the report of robbery which occurred at a home along Grant Street, Couva, in June 2020.


SHADE was charged yesterday by PC Huggins, of the Couva Criminal Investigations Department (CID) following further investigations into the details of a report of robbery which occurred in June 2020.
Four other suspects, JOSHUA DEONARINE, aka ‘KETCHUP,’ JEREMY TACKLAL, aka ‘MADMAN,’ PRETAM RAMSARAN, aka ‘BOY BOY,’ and NAVI RAM, were all charged for the robbery and are still to reappear in court.

On January 15th, 2021, the Couva CID detectives received further information which led the officers to School lane, Enterprise, Chaguanas, where they executed a search warrant at the home of a SHADE.

During the search, officers allegedly discovered a .38 revolver with two rounds .38 ammunition and a Samsung 42-inch smart television which was identified as the property of the robbery victim.

CHRIS SHADE was immediately arrested and taken to the Couva Police Station where he was later charged.
