A taxi driver was gunned down at the entrance to Price Plaza in Endeavour, Chaguanas, on Friday night.
Around 7.50 pm, Deron Biggart, of Orange Valley, Couva, had just stepped out of his silver Nissan B14 vehicle when a gunman walked up to him and opened fire.
The 26-year-old man died on the scene.
Relatives who were at the scene said he recently received death threats and a report was made to the police but they took no action.
Investigations are underway.
