Former public service president Reginald Dumas is currently hospitalised at the Scarborough General Hospital and is in urgent need of blood.
The news was shared by his daughter, Sonja Dumas.
She revealed to media that her father was hospitalised after undergoing life saving colon surgery this week.
She said Dumas has lost a lot of blood and donations are urgent.
Dumas has advised persons who donate blood at the blood banks either in Trinidad or in Tobago to please send evidence of the donation via Whatsapp.
She said blood donations must be made in the name of her father: John Reginald Dumas and when the piece of paper is given, she is kindly asking that donors take a photograph of it and send it to her whatsapp number : 788-1472.
