DSS founder says over $4 million missing

Founder of the Drugs Sou Sou TT (DSS) in La Horquetta, Kerron Clarke, is now claiming that four million dollars is missing from his business, following the raid by Special Operations Response Team (SORT) on September 22nd.

In an interview with the Sunday Express, Clarke, who is also a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) said his accountants have been working around the clock since the seized money was returned, to ensure that the sum taken was indeed returned in full.

However, he said, based on their receipt books, $4.1 million is currently missing.

Clarke said the money was stored in two labelled bags under a water tank at the property and those were seized during the raid.

But, he claims that only one bag was returned.

Clarke has not made an official police report regarding the missing money, but said his attorneys, headed by senior counsel Sophia Chote, will likely do so once their final tally is complete.
