Doja Cat made waves in the pop music world, seemingly becoming a superstar with her pop releases over the years. However, the artist has now noted she wants to move away from pop music to conquer the rap world.
Via Twitter, the artist said “no more pop” before going into detail about her desire to rap, along with past criticism she received for her bars.
I also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny,” said Doja. She continued “I know they are. I wasn’t trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing yall say that I can’t so I will.”
A fan asked Doja about making both pop and rap, saying she should do what she wants. The artist responded by saying, “Pop isn’t exciting to me anymore. I don’t wanna make it.” Take a look above.
