TT And West Indies Cricketer, Nicholas Pooran, Scores Fastest IPL 50 Off 15 Ball.

Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies player, Nicholas Pooran, scored the fastest half century so far in this year’s Indian Premier League as his side Lucknow Super Giants won by one wicket against Royal Challengers Bangalore today.

His inning helped IPL leaders Super Giants secure their third win from four matches in the prestigious tournament.

Set 213 to win, Pooran who picked up the Striker of the Match and Player of the Match Awards made 50 runs from 15 balls, as Giants reached 213 for 9 from 20 overs.

Pooran showed class and dominance during his innings before being dismissed for 62 runs.

His knock came off 19 balls.

It included four boundaries and seven sixes.

Marcus Stoinis also contributed with the bat making 65 runs from 30 balls with six fours and five sixes in the process.

Bowling for Bangalore, Mohammed Siraj took 3 for 22 from 4 overs; Wayne Parnell had 3 for 41 from 4 overs and Hashal Patel 2 for 48 from 4 overs.

Earlier, an opening partnership of 96 runs between Virat Kholi and captain Faf du Plessis as well as 59 from Glenn Maxwell helped Bangalore reach 212 for 2 wickets.

Tomorrow, bottom placed Delhi Capitals take on ninth place Mumbai Indians from 10am.
