Diego Martin woman among two charged for spate of robberies in Tobago

A Lambeau man and a Diego Martin woman both appeared before a Scarborough Magistrate charged with the offences of Larceny of Articles on November 7th, 2023.

Cody Bailey, 21, of Mt St George and Milford Road, Lambeau was charged with Larceny of Articles. He was not called upon to plea as the charges were laid indictably. Bailey is remanded in custody until November 17th, 2023, for bail consideration by the court.

His accomplice, Jahmielia Pierre, 20, of Lucy Vale, Diego Martin, also appeared before Senior Magistrate Christine Charles at the Scarborough Magistrates’ First Court, charged with House Breaking and Larceny. Pierre was granted $100,000 bail with a surety or an alternative cash deposit of $15,000.

As part of her bail condition, Pierre must remain in Trinidad unless she is reporting to the Tobago court.

Pierre is expected to reappear in court on December 5th, 2023.

According to a police report, between November 1st and 2nd, based on information received two men and a woman were arrested after a search warrant was executed at Lambeau and Upper Scarborough. During the search, officers allegedly discovered an assortment of stolen items at both locations.

The items recovered at the locations were a boat engine, chainsaw, router set, backpack blower, generator, three Samsung cellphones, two iPhones, a pair of binoculars, speakers, a television set, a circular saw, an industrial grinder, a heavy-duty Dewalt Hilti, a pair of shears, three pairs of sneakers, three gold chains one with pendant, one gold ring, one silver ring and five watches.

The pair were charged by Detective Sgt Wilson, PCs Phillips and Ferguson.
More arrests are imminent as investigations continue.
