The Financial Investigations Branch (FIB) of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service was granted an order today for the detention of $64,935 in cash.
The application for the cash detention order was made at the Arima Magistrates’ Court before Senior Magistrate Cheron Raphael, for the detention of the sum of $64,935 which was reportedly seized from one Cindy Brooks, by Insp. (Ag.) Taylor, on Sunday 21st February, 2021.
The evidence at the hearing was led by Cpl Mings, Legal Officer, of the FIB.
The order was granted for a period of three months for investigators to determine the source and derivation of the cash.
WPC Ragoo, of the FIB, is continuing investigations.
