Couple arrested in connection with “horror house” in Valsayn

The male suspect in connection with the alleged murder of 18 year old Hannah Mathura and the confinement of eight children at a house in Valsayn has been captured by police.

Reports state that the man was apprehended at a house in El Dorado where he was hiding.
His wife was also detained.

The man has been taken to the St Joseph Police Station.

His wife has been detained at the Arouca police station.

The skeletal remains believed to be that of 18-year-old Hannah, who disappeared seven years ago, were found buried in a shallow grave at a home described as a “horror house” in Valsayn on Tuesday 12th March, 2024.

The remains clad in a tube top, a pair of red pants and underwear were discovered buried near a tree in a 1-foot-deep grave behind the family’s home at #6 Butu Road, South Valsayn which is allegedly divided into three apartments.

A male relative reportedly contacted officers of the St Joseph Police Station on Sunday and informed them that Mathura’s body was buried in the backyard.
