Chances of allergic reaction to Covid vaccine minimal

Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram is noting that the chances of an allergic reaction to the Pfizer COVID vaccine are minimal.

Speaking at the Ministry of Health press update, Dr Parasram quoted statistics which revealed that the percentage of persons who have suffered a severe allergic reaction to the Pfizer vaccine is at about 0.0003 percent.

Nonetheless he added that persons with a history of severe allergic reactions should not take the vaccine.

Meanwhile, epidemiologist Dr Avery Hinds urged the persons who are most vulnerable to the illness and have no history of severe allergic reactions to get vaccinated when the opportunity arises.
