Passengers were stranded on the Inter-island Fast Ferry, the Buccoo Reef on Wednesday.
The vessel reportedly broke down shortly after the 4pm sailing from Scarborough, Tobago on its way to Port of Spain.
Around 8pm last night, engineers reportedly boarded the vessel in hopes of getting it working once again and back en route to Trinidad.
Passengers reported online that they were told that they would have docked around midnight last night.
The high speed craft was built two years ago.
