Barrackpore residents staged a fiery protest this morning, blocking three sections of Rees Road.
The fed up residents are protesting the poor infrastructure in the area and said they will continue the demonstration until tangible progress is made in addressing their concerns.
They said the roads have not been rehabilitated in three decades and they are frustrated.
Minister in the Ministry of Works, Richie Sookhai, according to a GML report, assured that he would investigate the matter and provide a response as soon as possible.
