11,540 active, eligible teachers across Trinidad and Tobago will receive their backpay with December 2023 salaries tomorrow, Tuesday.
The Ministry of Education says payments for the remaining 10% of active teachers will continue to be processed and is estimated to be completed by December 31st, 2023.
Payments for retired teachers will be processed subsequently.
The Ministry says it has established an email address; [email protected] ; to receive and respond to queries on teachers’ backpay emoluments.
