All ammunition belonging to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service are accounted for.
This is one of the findings coming out of an audit which was carried out by the TTPS.
Measures have also been put in place to monitor and control the use of ammunition at training sites.
Commissioner of Police, Erla Harewood Christopher, made this point known during a public meeting of the Joint Select Committee on national security Monday.
The evidence session with the Commissioner of Police was held to gain an understanding of the anti-crime strategies implemented by the TTPS to address criminal activity in Trinidad and Tobago.
