The Chairman of the Princes Town Regional Corporation is calling on the Minister of Public Utilities to liaise with WASA to swiftly restore the supply of water to the Tableland area.
According to the Councillor for the area, Gowrie Narine Roopnarine, it has been one month since approximately one thousand homes in Tableland have been without a proper supply of pipe–born water.
He said Tableland is an area where water is returned for one day and then the supply is halted for a month and more.
He said, “I am also calling on WASA to play their part to solve this problem which has been ongoing for a number of years now. In an attempt to alleviate this stressful situation, we at the Princes Town Regional Corporation are trying our utmost best to assist residents with truck borne water.”
He said he is urgently calling on the Minister to communicate with WASA to restore the supply of water to the Tableland area.
