MSJ Wants Citizens To Emulate Discipline And Self Restraint

The Movement for Social Justice is appealing to the population to emulate the lesson of discipline and self-restraint as displayed by members of the Muslim community.

On today’s occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, the MSJ said the observance is one of the most important observances in the religious calendar of Islam.

It said the Holy Month of Ramadan enables Muslims to enter into serious introspection and to challenge themselves to be better people by serving humanity.

The MSJ said all of Trinidad and Tobago should pause for a moment and join our Muslim Sisters and Brothers in this act of introspection.

It said the Holy Month of Ramadan is a time when Muslims are encouraged to dig deep into their faith in order to become better people, serving their fellow women and men.

It said this should mean being guided to choose the side of justice and to help others in also making this choice.

The MSJ said the Muslim community in Trinidad and Tobago has, in this respect, contributed immensely to the development of our nation and to the individual well-being of their fellow citizens.
