Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley is assuring security of tenure for the vast majority of nurses in the public health sector.
He has noted however, that in the instances where nurses who have concerns over this issue, the matter is being addressed.
Questioned in the House of Representatives on Monday, by the Member of Parliament for Naparima, on whether the Government believes it is doing enough to incentivise Registered Nurses to stay in Trinidad and Tobago hospitals – when international agencies are actively recruiting persons – Dr Rowley said such moves are dependent on a variety of reasons but the Government is doing what it is able to as it relates to this matter.
