The search will resume today to find the body of 9-year-old Omarie Providence, who disappeared underwater while seabathing with family members at Toco beach.
Providence, of Picton Road, Laventille, was on a family outing to Mission Beach, Toco, when around 1:30pm, he went into the water with his father and the rest of his family and they all got into difficulties.
Bathers went to their rescue but were only able to save the three other members of the family as Providence disappeared under water and never resurfaced.
Divers from the T&T Coast Guard, fishermen and bathers were searching for the child up to late yesterday, but the searches came up empty.
They will resume searches today.
