Afghanistan Pulls Of Historic 21 Runs Win Against Australia In T20 Cricket World Cup In St Vincent

Afghanistan defeated Australia by 21 runs to pull off an historic win and stay in contention in the T20 cricket World Cup at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, Kingston, on Saturday.

Afghanistan made 148 for 6 of their 20 overs with an opening partnership of 118 runs between Rahmanullah Gurbaz who scored 60 and Ibrahim Zadran 51.

Australia at one point reached 32 for 3 but Glenn Maxwell made 59 runs to keep them in contention.

However, the rest of the batting failed to deliver and they were all out for 127 with Gulbadin Naib taking four wickets for 30 runs.

Afghanistan will play Bangladesh in their last Super 8s game on Tuesday while Australia takes on India in St Lucia on Monday.
