The Tobago House of Assembly Tourism Secretary indicates 40 cruise calls are scheduled for Tobago during the next season which starts in November this year.
However, Tashia Burris says this is 20 less in cruise calls when compared to what was experienced in 2023.
The development is attributed to the two year upgrade work schedule to take place at the cruise ship terminal in Puerto Rico this year.
In spite of this the Tourism Division has been advised by C Trade, Tobago should target European cruise lines as well as smaller vessels who may be home porting out of Antigua and Barbuda and Barbados.
