Another accident on Saturday morning has taken the lives of two more people.
Dead is 46-year-old Allan Steele from Jacob Hill, Arima and another man, who is yet to be identified.
Police say around 6:45am, Steele was with two other passengers in a car heading east along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway near Jacob Hill when the driver lost control and slammed into a tree. Initial police reports have not identified who was driving.
Steele died at the scene.
The two other passengers were taken to the Arima General Hospital where police say one of the victims succumbed to his injuries and the other occupant is in critical condition.
Investigations are underway.
