Man awarded $65K after a doctor removed his penis during surgery

A French man was awarded $65,000 after doctors removed his penis after multiple procedures caused him to feel extreme pain due to his cancer diagnosis.

The treatment resulted after a series of alleged medical mistakes made by doctors, which left him with no sensation in his genitals.

According to LAD Bible, the treatment was performed at Nantes University Hospital in 2014.

Additionally, the unidentified man was facing carcinoma, a type of cancer that attacks the lining tissue of organs like the esophagus and the skin.

The majority of the cancer was discovered in the man’s penis, and a urologist sought to remove it without harming the organ.

Unfortunately, the treatment allegedly did not help, as cancer spread throughout his penis, leading him to experience excruciating pain.

He added that it was unpleasant for him and that he wanted to amputate it himself.

The doctors gave him two options which meant he would either die from cancer or have his penis permanently removed but overall.
