The body of this country’s 5th Prime Minister, Basdeo Panday is currently lying in State at the Red House.
This follows a military procession this morning, which began at Broadway and Independence Square.
Hundreds turned out to bid farewell to the man who was known as the “Silver Fox.”
His body will lie in State at the Rotunda of the Parliament Building until 5.30 p.m.
On Monday January 8th, 2024, Mr. Panday’s body will lie in honour at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
