WASA: Long Term Solutions Actively Being Pursued To Bring Relief To Affected Penal Residents

The Water and Sewage Authority says long term solutions are actively being pursued to bring relief to affected customers.

WASA gave the assurance as it revealed residents of Lachoos Road Penal, Smart Avenue, Recreation Road Drive and Sunset Avenue, have experienced a disruption in their pipe-borne water supply in recent times.

In the short term however, production at the Clarke Road Package Plant has been increased and customers can expect a supply by December 24th 2022.

It said these interruptions included the planned maintenance shutdown by DESALCOTT and more recently, mechanical and electrical interruptions at the South Oropouche Booster Station.

The authority advises long term solutions are actively being pursued to bring relief to affected customers and a limited truck borne service has also been activated.
