Two Barrackpore men were arrested and charged for larceny.
They were held by officers of the Barrackpore Criminal Investigations Department, (CID) on Wednesday 11th November, 2020.
On Sunday 8th November, a 38 -year-old farmer, of Mahabir Trace, Barrackpore, secured his two stihl wackers, one stihl blower and one Samsung cell phone in an open shed at his residence and retired to bed.
Around 8 am on the 9th November, he discovered the items missing, he made a report to the Barrackpore Police Station and PC Slochan was detailed to investigate.
Based on information received, PC Slochan proceeded to two locations, Richard Road, Satnarine Trace, Penal, and Platanite Road, and recovered items at both residences. Subsequently, a 20- year old self- employed, Christian Qutar, aka Christian Sotio, and a 33-year old farmer, Vijai Jugmohan, were charged for the offence of larceny.
They are expected to appear virtually at the Siparia Magistrates’ Court today.
