Financial and human resources have been provided by Trinidad and Tobago to Caricom as part of efforts to address challenges facing Haiti at this time.
Caricom and Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr Amery Brown, made the disclosure while speaking at a news briefing held on Tuesday.
Dr Brown also confirmed Trinidad and Tobago will not be sending soldiers to Haiti.
He said this country has been backing various actions to help restore peace and order in Haiti.
Dr Brown reiterated statements made by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, in the past with respect to giving Haiti military and security assistance by sending soldiers and police officers adding this nation is not in a position to do so at this time.
