T&T Born adult entertainer tells why he got into porn and how he’s finishing his PhD.
He knows that this interview will raise eyebrows. He also knows many will judge his decision to get into the porn industry in the US, for many reasons. His stage name is Starboi4lifexx2 but Andrew Christopher Young is quite the complex person. Highly intelligent and motivated he’s just months from completing his PhD in Entrepreneurship and Commercialization studies and plans to go full steam in maximizing his management consultancy company.
He admits he was initially nervous about this interview given Trinidad and Tobago’s attitude and condemnation generally in some quarters to taboo issues like homosexuality and pornography but he thought that it may help demystify the issues and also provide an understanding as to what drives people to get involved in the adult entertainment /porn industry and the implications and impact on their professional and personal lives.
He started porn in November 2020, after ending up on a steamy video which was streamed from a sex party that he attended. He has accounts on ‘Onlyfans’ which nets USD $2000.00 monthly and has admitted to having ‘clients who pay him USD$ 500.00 for 30 minutes of his time. Porn provided an income, flexible working hours. So the natural question is…Well, youre educated, intelligent and highly qualified why not get a regular job?
He is also gay and open about his sexuality. He is not ashamed of his sexuality and attraction to men. But what does his family and friends think about his sexuality and involvement in the porn industry? Well he says the people in his life who’s opinion better to him, including his mother support him.
Andrew does not plan to stay in porn very much longer , he has a one year timeline for continued involvement in the industry, in fact once he successfully completes his PhD, he will focus his attention and energies on his business. He plans to use the money he earns from the adult entertainment industry to invest in his business.
We also asked him if based on his experiences , what his advice is to young persons who may be thinking about getting onto porn for survival or any other reasons?
