Two men were gunned down in New Grant on Sunday night and the assailants were said to have been dressed in police gear.
Reports state that around 7.30pm, two men dressed in political gear, stormed a house along Mclean Road and opened fire on the occupants.
The bodies of the two men, identified as Nicholas Brizon, 29, of McLean Road, La Gloria Settlement, New Grant and Israel Hurbert, 28, from Pleasantville Terrace, Pleasantville, were found in the living room.
Residents said they had recently moved into an apartment at the house.
Investigators viewed CCTV footage which showed the two suspects escaping in a Nissan X-Trail. The police later discovered the getaway vehicle abandoned at the community centre in La Gloria Settlement. It was subsequently towed to the special evidence recovery unit in Cumuto.
