A shooting in Central Trinidad last night has left one man dead and a woman wounded.
Twenty-five-year-old Sherlon Williams of Church Street, Chickland, Freeport, was with a female companion at Maraj Lane, Cunupia when several loud explosions were heard.
On investigation, residents discovered Williams lying in a pool of blood and covered with gunshot wounds. His female companion also bore gunshot wounds.
Williams died on the scene while his female companion was injured and rushed to hospital.
Investigations continue.
