Shiraz Khan, President of the Trinidad Unified Farmers Association says that they Praedial Larceny officers are within their right to take the present action.
He says that he has long held this view as they have been enduring difficult conditions for some time now.
He told News Power Now this morning that the officers have not had the proper tools to carry out their jobs for quite a while.
He noted this has made it difficult for them to carry out their duties.
Khan insisted that agriculture continues to be treated with scant courtesy in Trinidad and Tobago and this is unacceptable.
He maintained that farmers have been under pressure to deal with present conditions.
