When construction work is completed the Sevilla Transition Home will provide supported housing for a two-year period to young women between 18 to 24 years.
The women would have previously resided in a residential home programme or been referred to by relevant entities.
This Home will assist young women in their transition into adulthood by equipping them with the necessary skills and tools needed to become independent, healthy and productive individuals.
The Sod Turning Ceremony will take place at the Sevilla Facility Couva on Monday at 10:00 a.m.
Minister of Youth Development and National Service, Foster Cummings, will officially initiate construction works at the Home.
Minister Cummings will give the Feature Address at this Ceremony.
