Cristiano Ronaldo says he was close to joining Manchester City but followed his “heart” by rejoining Manchester United.
This was one of the revelations as the first part of his explosive 90 minute interview talk show host Piers Morgan aired last night.
Expanding on the comment that he felt betrayed by Man U, he revealed that he was heading to City as Pep Guardiola wanted to sign him but he only decided to sign for United instead after his old manager Sir Alex Ferguson convinced him to make the switch.
