Prime suspect in Cocorite quadruple murders caught

Police have detained a man, said to be the “prime suspect” in the murders of four men in Cocorite on Saturday night.

The incident also left eight others with injuries.

The 29-year-old man, reportedly from Waterhole Road, Cocorite, was held while attempting to flee the country on Sunday night.

Police, acting on intelligence received, found the suspect at the Piarco International Airport attempting to board a plane to the JFK airport in New York.

The officers made their way to the airport at about 10:30 pm where they were able where identify the suspect before he could board his flight.
