Port Authority Chm: Work on Cabo Star will be completed in 10 days!

Chairman of the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (PATT) Lyle Alexander says work on the Cabo Star should be completed in ten days.

Speaking at a media briefing this morning Mr Alexander said engine work on the vessel has been completed.

What remains to be done now is cable work.

He explained that they estimate this work to be completed around the 17 or 18 of September.

He said this is one of the busiest seasons the Port has had for travel between the islands in five years.

He noted that they are aware of the fallout given the absence of the Cabo Star on truckers and businesses.

The Port Authority Official said that they have put things in place to get some loads to Tobago particularly perishables like foodstuff and also pharmaceuticals, however those who have construction items will have to make adjustments.
