PDP Not In Support Of THA Legal Action Against Government To Get Outstanding Money

The Progressive Democratic Patriots is not in support of the decision by the Tobago House of Assembly to take legal action to get some $166.4 million from the government.

THA alleges it is owed the money which has already been approved by the parliament.

Speaking at a news briefing at the PDP’s headquarters, Port Mall, Scarborough, PDP Political Leader, Watson Duke,  said he is against legal action adding it diminishes your ability to use moral suasion.

Mr. Duke said the Assembly could have used mediation as one of the means to resolve the situation.

He suggested legal challenge should be a last resort.
