More than fifty–four percent of people in the Caribbean are yet to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
The revelation of this comes from Pan American Health Organization Director, Dr Carissa Etienne.
Speaking at a news briefing on Thursday, Dr Etienne said a significant amount of persons in the region are yet to be inoculated against the virus.
Dr Carissa Etienne described the development as worrisome.
Dr Etienne said there is need for persons who are yet to be vaccinated against the virus to revisit their decision, assuring the vaccines are safe and effective.
