Opposition Calls For “Shortage Of Medical Doctors” To Be Addressed

The Opposition is calling for action to address what it claims is the shortage medical doctors.

It’s a call coming from Member of Parliament for Fyzabad, Dr. Lackram Bodoe.

Dr Bodoe made the request during his piloting of a motion “failure of the government to deliver on its health sector mandate”.

He claimed in 2015 a situation arose where hundreds of young doctors who had graduated, completed their internships but were unable to be offered jobs.

MP Bodoe suggested efforts be started to address this subject and offered proposals on how it can be tackled.
