NCC A Major Employer Throughout Carnival Season, Says Chairman Winston Peters

The National Carnival Commission claims about 15 to 20 thousand persons are hired by the organisation throughout the carnival season.

Chairman of the NCC, Winston Gyspy Peters, made the revelation during an interview with Power 102 Digital this week.

Mr Peters described the NCC as the largest employer of persons on a temporary basis in the build up to carnival.

He also said the commission is an entity which helps generate money for Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr Peters made the comments as he responded to the question what activities are the NCC engaged in to generate its own level of funding.
