The parliament is told many of the recommendations contained in the Pan American Health Organisation report into the deaths of several babies at the Port-of-Spain Neonatal Intensive Care Unit have already been implemented.
On June 21st 2024, the health ministry was presented with the report.
Health Minister, Terrence Deyalsingh, in the parliament Friday said the Ministry will be liaising and working with PAHO via its country office relating to certain findings and concerns which require urgent clarification.
This is to ensure PAHO can address and resolve the concern promptly.
The attorneys for both the North West Regional Health Authority and the state will be drafting responses.
