Two gunmen robbed a businessman of cash and cheques, amounting to $150,000.
Reports state that just after 7am this morning, the 36-year-old man, who owns a retail and wholesale business in Marabella, was at the Republic Bank at South Park Shopping Mall, when he was accosted by two men armed with guns.
The men robbed him of a JTA handle bag containing $60,000 and $90,000 in business cheques, which represented the day’s sales. They also stole his $4,000 Samsung S21 cellphone and his wallet containing $400 and personal documents.
The suspects escaped in a grey Kia Rio vehicle.
