Man held with Regiment issued items, drugs, firearm and ammo

One man was arrested and a firearm and quantities of ammunition, drugs and Trinidad and Tobago Regiment-issued items seized during an anti-crime exercise conducted by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force in the Febeau Village district on Wednesday morning.

Officers, assisted by the Air Support Unit, conducted the exercise between 5 am and 9 am, on Wednesday 18th October, 2023, during which they proceeded to the home of a 28-year-old suspect.

A search of the premises resulted in officers finding one pistol loaded with a magazine containing 13 rounds of ammunition, a quantity of marijuana and a bullet-proof vest.

Further checks of the area resulted in the discovery of the following items in a clear plastic bag: 2 TTR caps; 1 TTR belt; 4 TTR patches; 1 US Defence badge and; 4 Passports (1 US and 3 TT)

Investigations are ongoing into the above finds.
