It will begin to look a lot more like Christmas for some 100 people when the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development delivers grants under the Home Improvement Grant (HIG) Programme.
The grant cheques will be distributed in a special ceremony at 11:00 am tomorrow, Wednesday 29 November 2023, at the Pleasantville Community Centre, Prince Albert Street, San Fernando.
A release from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development notes that it disburses home improvement grants to qualified citizens to effect repairs and undertake improvement works to their dwellings, to improve their current living conditions.
The Housing Ministry says the Home Improvement Grants Programme targets low and lower-middle income households. Grants are valued at $15,000.
Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Camille Robinson-Regis MP, will be at tomorrow’s distribution ceremony to deliver the Feature Address and distribute grants to beneficiaries of the HIG Programme.
Adrian Leonce MP, Minister in the Ministry of Housing and Urban HIG; as well as His Worship Councillor Robert Parris, Mayor San Fernando, also will be there to deliver remarks at the event.
