Households Relocated As Heritage Team Responds To Massahood Village Oil Leak

Twenty people from four households have been relocated for the duration of the clean up by Heritage Petroleum Company Limited following an oil leak in Massahood Village, Fyzabad, Sunday.

Air monitoring is ongoing.

Heritage Incident Management Team remains onsite and continues to manage the response.

The Environmental Management Authority and the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries have been informed of the incident.

Heritage will continue to provide updates as required.

The company said the leak occurred around 6:40pm Sunday.

Upon investigation the company discovered two leaks emanating from the 16 inch Trunk Oil Pipeline.

It said the leaks were isolated and repaired with hours.
