Homeless man arrested for house breaking and larceny

A homeless man will appear before a Princes Town Magistrate on April 19th to answer to the charge of house breaking and larceny.

It is alleged that JOEL MC KENZIE, 33, broke into a house located at Sixth Company Village, Circular Road, New Grant, Princes Town, and stole several items of value.

On April 13th, officers received a report from a woman that she returned to her premises and discovered her front door located on the eastern side of her home broken into. Further checks revealed a mountain bike, a 32- inch flat screen television, three pairs of sneakers, and a book bag missing.

The estimated value of the missing items amounted to $3,750.

The officers using intelligence-led policing received useful information and as a result Sgt Teeluck and party proceeded to a grassy area along Indian Walk Road, Moruga, where all the items were recovered and was positively identified by the victim.

Sgt Teeluck and a party of officers conducted extensive enquiries and arrested and charged JOEL MC KENZIE.
