Police are investigating the murder of a 45-year-old vendor on Saturday night.
According to police, Darryl Bridgelal, was at the stall on the Eastern Main Road, near the Bamba Night Club, at around 11.38 pm when a silver car drove near him.
Two men alighted from the vehicle and shot him several times.
Bridgelal attempted to escape but collapsed a short distance away, as his killers made their escape in ethe vehicle.
A passer by took Bridgelal to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was declared dead at around 11.57 pm.
Northern Division crime scene investigators visited the scene and found 23 5.56 spent shells and ten 9 mm spent shells.
Police from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing enquiries.
