Former UNC MP says UNC will lose upcoming Election

Former Couva North MP Ramona Ramdial is criticizing the so called “political accommodations” made by the UNC with other parties.

Speaking on Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show this morning, she described them as experimental.

Ramdial claimed that the accommodations are confusing and should have been separated by Regional Corporations rather than seats.

She claimed that the accommodations in their current form can lead to confusion regarding the allocations of aldermen in the corporations.

Ramdial also claimed that she believes the UNC is set to lose some more seats in the August 14th Local Government Election as there is discontent over the party leadership.

This she said, coupled with disenchantment among the general population, will lead to a lower than usual turnout in the impending Election and possibly a 6th consecutive defeat for the UNC at the polls.
