Donald Trump after guilty verdict – “I’m a very innocent man, and it’s okay. I’m fighting for our country.”

I am a very innocent man,’ Trump says after being found guilty
Donald Trump is now speaking having been found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
“This was a rigged, disgraceful trial,” he says.
“And the real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people,” he adds, referencing the looming US election.
“We didn’t do anything wrong, I’m a very innocent man, and it’s okay. I’m fighting for our country.”

Prosecutors accused Trump of taking part in an illegal conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 presidential election and an unlawful plan to suppress negative information, which included concealing a hush money payment to an adult film star.
While a felony conviction of US president or party frontrunner is unprecedented, Trump, who is 2024 presumptive GOP nominee, can still run for office. Trump called the jury’s decision a “disgrace” and said the “real verdict” will come during the presidential election on November 5. President Joe Biden said on social media that his 2024 rival can only be defeated at the ballot box.

Sentencing date set- Donald Trump will be sentenced on 11 July at 10am local time.
